What is Bomb Shelter Radio?
Bomb Shelter Radio is more than just a radio show; it's an ongoing art project dedicated to unearthing rare and forgotten music. For over a decade, I've been exploring the depths of rock 'n' roll, soul, exotica, mambo, R&B, and more, sharing my discoveries through free radio broadcasts. My mission is to connect people with music that transcends time and cultures, and your support helps me continue this journey.

- Keeping the Show on the Road: I aim to bring low-powered radio and good music to various locations across the United States. Your contributions help fund these mobile radio projects.

How It All Began
I accidentally discovered FM radio transmissions while working on my MFA thesis at UC Davis sparked the creation of Bomb Shelter Radio. Inspired by the technology used in driving simulators, I realized the potential for creating a radio station for my projects. This exploration led me down a path of radio-making that continues to shape my work.
What's Next
Bomb Shelter Radio is always pushing boundaries. We're currently working on transforming a 1970s GMC RV into a mobile radio station. If you have any leads on a suitable motorhome, please let us know. Additionally, we're converting a 1968 Cadillac Coupe De Ville into a mobile radio station for drive-in radio performances.
We're constantly seeking venues, museums, galleries, and alternative spaces to create BSR installations. These temporary radio encounters are the heart and soul of Bomb Shelter Radio.
